Empowering yourself to manage your own mental health requires work, but the benefits are invaluable. Self-management (which can happen alongside therapy and medication!) is how our lives truly change. I know, because I’ve done it, and that’s why I’ve created this roadmap for you.

We have not taught to manage our own mental health and wellbeing.
That changes now.

​Sorting my mental health out on my own wasn't something I foresaw, but it was a position I found myself in multiple times over. From enormous waiting times, to medications not working or a lack of available therapists, just a few of the problems that meant I came to learn the system couldn't always be relied upon.
​
I knew that in periods of wellness, I had to do everything in my power to educate and equip myself with as many well practised coping strategies as possible. It was the only way to free myself and put the power back in my own hands.
​
When I look back on early parts of my journey, I remember that just knowing where to start was always one of the hardest parts. With so much information, and misinformation available, it can feel completely overwhelming. And I know that is something so many of us struggle with. ​​

But your path gets to be different because I'm going to show you the sign posts that just weren't available to me.

I know it can be an absolute minefield out there when it comes to trying to get the right help and support for mental health. What are the differences between all the different treatments and medications?! What happens if you don't even know about the existence of the treatment that turns out to be exactly what you need?

Day 2
Unlock the language of mental health

Never feel disempowered or without a voice again when it comes to mental health.
I have learnt many times over, just how empowering having the right language is. There are so many scenarios where being equipped with the right knowledge and terminology can be an absolute game changer, not to mention self-protecting.
